Our Newborn......Flutterby

So, i was leaning over a chair in the garden to reach my husband's morning kiss and there she was! The flutterby (that's how they used to be called and i find it much appropriate) cocoon a friend gave us has hatched. The newly transformed beauty was hanging on the ground completely still. I placed my finger next to her and she gently and trustingly climbed on :) Little baby! Then Chris took over and the play began. Some of the pictures are pretty funny. Only a short moment though and she was making her first flight: one try, second try and off she went. We let her be. Just made a wish that the cat doesn't get her. He's been bringing all kind of prey lately.
This made me think of our baby boy only that we get to enjoy his many first stages much longer :) Ah,Life!
